Wolves striker Sasha Karadzic joins LASK on loan

Wolves striker Sasa Kalajdzic will return to his homeland in the new season, joining Austrian Super League team Linz on loan for one season.

The 28-year-old Karadžić suffered a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury in February 2024 and has been on long-term recuperation since then. After more than a year of rehabilitation, he recently made his comeback in Wolves' League Cup victory over West Ham United, and then got playing time in the league match against Everton, gradually regaining his game rhythm.

The 2-meter-tall center forward joined Wolves from Stuttgart three years ago, but due to two consecutive serious knee injuries, he has never been able to fully demonstrate his potential. So far, he has made 16 appearances for Wolves and scored 3 goals, including key winning goals against Everton and Bournemouth within three months of each other in 2023.

Last season, Karadžić was loaned to Eintracht Frankfurt, where he suffered another injury that forced him to leave the season early. After a long period of rest, he completed a full pre-season under coach Vitor Pereira this summer.

This time Karadzic returned to Austria not only to continue his recovery in a familiar environment, but also to seek stable playing opportunities to restore his former form.
