Pelicans backup point guard Jose Alvarado plans to return to the court on Friday at home against the Washington Wizards, ending a 23-game absence with a strained right hamstring.
"I'm going to play tomorrow, for sure. I'm excited to put the jersey on again and get out there and compete," Alvarado, whose status is officially listed as "probable," said Thursday.
"There will be many exciting moments again and I hope the city misses them. They will see it tomorrow."
