Monza officially announced that it has loaned Bologna midfielder Kasper Zhobanski until June 30, 2025. He is the first Polish player in Monza's history and will wear the No. 8 jersey.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the loan agreement does not include any buyout clause. Zhobanski will return to the team after the loan period expires. His contract with Bologna is valid until June 2026.
The 20-year-old Kasper Zhobanski came from the youth training of Legia Gdansk and made his debut for the first team in the Polish League on December 21, 2019. He has played for Bologna since February 2021 and has made 39 appearances so far, scoring 1 goal and providing 1 assist.
On June 7, 2024, Zhobanski made his national team debut in a friendly match between Poland and Uruguay. So far, he has played 11 times for Poland and participated in the 2024 European Cup with the team.
For Zhobanski, joining Monza is an attempt to get more playing time. With Vincenzo Italiano replacing Thiago Motta as head coach, Zhobanski's tactical position has rapidly declined this season: so far, Zhobanski has played a total of 12 times in Bologna, of which only 4 were starts.
