Victor Wembanyama reflects on San Antonio Spurs' two games in Paris

Since Paris' schedule is very tight, Victor Wenbanyama returned to France and put on a wonderful show during the NBA Paris game.  

Victor Wembanyama's final score in the two games was 50 points, 23 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 blocks. Victor Wembanyama didn't go home looking for two wins, but there were many other moments that made this trip to Paris memorable.  

Victor Wembanyama said: "It was a great week for me, I got to see my family. I don't want to be too emotional, but every player tried their best to make this week great."  

San Antonio's 136-98 loss to the Indiana Pacers wasn't the outcome Victor Wembanyama had hoped for. Still, one thing he liked was that he noticed during the Olympics: the French love their national anthem. When the anthem is played before sporting events, fans sing it themselves, even louder than the performers.  

Victor Wenbanyama said: "I saw that the voices on the stage were very loud. Although the result of the game was not what I wanted, I am grateful for the efforts of the fans."  

In addition, teammate Chris Paul said: "I can't imagine how Victor Wenbanyama feels about returning to his hometown to play. I know he is very excited, but it also means a lot of responsibility. Every media and event wants to see your family members who you don't see often, and Victor Wenbanyama is the kind of person who wants to sign all the autographs."  

It is not known when Victor Wembanyama will play in France again, but he would love to play in Paris every year. Although it seems certain that the NBA will one day bring the San Antonio Spurs back to France, it is unlikely that they will play in France every year.  

Victor Wembanyama knows this, and he cherishes this trip to Paris. "I tried my best to make this week special for my team, family and friends," he said. "But people still find ways to surprise me and make me feel that this is important to them and that I am important to them."
