Canadian esports organization Gaimin Gladiators announced their return to the Counter-Strike 2 arena, this time with an all-Brazilian lineup.
Previously, Gaimin Gladiators briefly appeared in Counter-Strike 2 with an all-Danish lineup in April 2024, but disbanded less than a year later. Now, they have signed the former W7M Esports lineup and are once again entering the South American region.
The team, temporarily unemployed after W7M ceased operations in Counter-Strike 2 in May 2025, has officially moved to Gaimin Gladiators. The club's slogan on social media, "Brazilian resilience, the spirit of the gladiators. Yesterday unemployed, today gladiators," further underscores their comeback story.
Currently, Gaimin Gladiators is ranked 24th in the Americas VRS, still a significant distance away from qualifying for the StarLadder Budapest Major. Head coach Horvy stated that while they hope to qualify for the Budapest Major, the Cologne Major is a more realistic goal for the team.
The roster is led by 29-year-old veteran rifler NEKIZ, who boasts over a decade of professional experience. The rest of the team includes shz, b4rtiN, bsd, and JOTA. Their debut will take place at FERJEE Rush 2025 in Rio de Janeiro from September 27th to 30th.
This B-level offline event will be an important stage for the team to test their cohesion. Only by winning the event and achieving a breakthrough in the rankings can they hope to win an invitation to the Major.
