Riot announces nerfs for new League of Legends hero Mel

The new hero Mel in "League of Legends" has sparked widespread discussion because of her overly strong performance. For the fairness of the game, Riot, the developer of "League of Legends", decided to weaken Mel's abilities.
Mel, a Noxian noble from Arcane, quickly gained the upper hand in the game with her powerful skill set, but her burst damage and economic gains caused dissatisfaction among players. The Riot team released a micro-patch on January 25 to make multiple adjustments to Mel's skills.
Mel's passive skill "Overwhelm" has its AP bonus reduced from 25% to 10%, weakening her fixed damage ability. Her ultimate skill "Golden Eclipse" has also been adjusted: the base damage has been reduced from 125/175/225 + 40% AP to 100/150/200 + 30% AP, and the passive damage bonus has been reduced from 65/80/95 + 25% AP to 60/70/80 + 10% AP.
Additionally, Mel's Q skill "Blazing Volley" has had its damage scaling slightly nerfed, with the magic damage of individual arrows reduced and the total damage reduced with level, but the number of arrows in the skill has not changed.
Riot's lead game designer Phroxzon explained that these changes are intended to balance Mel's strength while making it easier for players to adapt to playing against her. He mentioned that Mel is too prominent against popular heroes such as Ahri, Miss Fortune, and Lux, and players should keep their distance when fighting her and not let her easily stack up.
After this adjustment, Mel's strong output will be reduced to provide players with a fairer gaming experience, while retaining her characteristics and operational depth as a Noxian-style hero.
