ENCE officially announces separation from 37-year-old coach Kuben

European CS2 professional team ENCE officially announced on Friday that they have parted ways with their coach, Jakub Gurchinski (ID: kuben). Kuben's future plans are currently unknown.

Kuben, 37, is from Poland and transitioned from professional player to coach in February 2015. He began his coaching career with the renowned Polish Counter-Strike team Virtus.Pro (VP), leading them to championships at numerous major tournaments over the past four years, including the ESEA Season 18 Global Invitational Finals, the CEVO Season 7 Finals, the 2015 ESL ESEA Dubai Invitational, the CEVO Season 8 Finals, the 2015 SL-i All-Stars League, ELEAGUE Season 1, and the 2017 DH Masters Las Vegas.

After leaving VP due to the expiration of his contract in 2019, Kuben successively moved to Envy, MAD Lions, Apeks and other teams as a coach. He officially took over ENCE in November 2023 and was demoted to the bench less than a year after taking office.

It is generally believed that Kuben's failure to lead the team to a Major was the main reason for his demotion. As of August 2024, ENCE's best result under Kuben's leadership was advancing to the IEM Katowice playoffs as a dark horse.

After Kuben was removed from the starting lineup, ENCE was coached by German coach Niklas Krumhorn (ID: enkay J). With Kuben's departure, ENCE's current lineup is as follows:

Rifleman: Rigon Gash (ID: rigoN)

Rifleman/Commander: Victor Orujev (ID: sdy)

Rifleman/Sniper: Willy Wilkman (ID: myltsi)

Sniper: Paavo Heiskanen (ID: podi)

Rifleman: Ryan Aubrey (ID: Neityu)

Coach: Niklas Krummhorn (ID: enkay J)
