Foreign media outlet Sheep Esports exclusively reported on Monday that Spanish League of Legends team Heretics is seeking a new bottom laner to prepare for the possibility of Flakked leaving the team after his contract expires.
According to the report, Heretics management is not optimistic about renewing Flakked's contract and is prepared for a major roster overhaul.
The team has currently shortlisted several candidates, with Harpoon, who joined Galions in June, being the most sought-after player.
If their pursuit of Harpoon is unsuccessful, Heretics may explore signing a Korean import, with BDS player Ice who came through the FEARX Academy, being their top pick.
Notably, Sheep Esports previously revealed that Flakked himself complained in an interview with the outlet about not winning a championship after three years with Heretics, making the player unlikely to agree to a contract extension.
Once Flakked's departure is confirmed upon his contract expiration, it will mark the second major roster change to Heretics in recent times.
Last week, the team also announced that former Tricked, Ruddy, Excel, GIANTX, and Fnatic coach Hidon, would serve as Heretics' head coach through the 2026 LEC Winter Split.
About Flakked
Flakked, 24, was born in Spain on April 25, 2001, and plays as a bottom laner.
Flakked made his League of Legends professional e-sports debut as a substitute for S2V in January 2019.
The following January, he joined KOI's sister team, Mad Lions.
In December 2021, Flakked joined G2 Esports.
During his time with the team, he won the 2022 LEC Spring Split, finished in the top 4 at the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational, and in the top 14 at the 2022 World Championship.
In December 2022, Flakked joined the Heretics Academy and was promoted to the main team the following May.
Since joining Heretics, Flakked has participated in numerous tournaments with the team. Although he has only achieved top-8 finishes in every LEC Seasonal Splits since 2024, his individual performances has been outstanding.
