OG announced the disbandment of its current Dota 2 roster and promised to return to the competitive scene in the future.

Legendary esports team OG has officially announced the disbandment of its current Dota 2 roster, ending the team's short journey in the 2025-26 season.

The decision was announced on OG's social media account: "After a tough start to the season, we have made the difficult decision to part ways with the current Dota 2 roster."

"Thank you to the team members for their hard work and enthusiasm during their time with us. We sincerely wish them all the best in the future. We will always be cheering you on. However, this is not the end of our journey in Dota 2. Please stay tuned for further news."

This reshuffle by OG means that Shad, Stojkov, MikSa`, and daze will officially leave the team and become free agents. Although some members have been with the team for several months, the newly joined Stojkov only made his debut in early September.

The decision to disband stemmed from the team's series of defeats at the start of the new season. OG participated in five major tournament qualifiers but failed to advance from any of them. In the first season of the DreamLeague Tier 2 league, they suffered consecutive defeats against several lesser-known teams, failing to qualify for DreamLeague Season 27.

This series of losses is seen as a sign of OG's slump. As a two-time TI champion, OG achieved great success in 2018 and 2019, but frequent roster changes and poor performance in recent years have caused the team to gradually slide from the top tier to the secondary level.

Nevertheless, OG emphasized that they will not leave the Dota 2 scene and will form a brand new roster in the future to seek opportunities to make a comeback.
