Stuttgart completes contract extension with Germany international defensive midfielder wonderkid Angelo Stiller..

Stuttgart said on its official website on Tuesday that the club has extended the contract of its Germany international defensive midfielder wonderkid Angelo Stiller.

According to Stuttgart's official statement, Stiller has signed on a new three-and-a-half-year deal with the club which will run until the summer of 2028.

After completing his contract extension procedures, Stiller, who was interviewed by Stuttgart's official website again, said: "From the first day, my relationship with Stuttgart has been seamless. We have embarked on a successful path and we will continue to move forward together."

"I have experienced some wonderful moments here, from winning the Bundesliga runner-up, participating in the Champions League, and of course my first debut with the national team. I hope there will be more such moments in the future. I would like to thank the people in charge of Stuttgart for their appreciation of my contract extension."

With this contract extension, it also means that all rumours about Barcelona's imminent signing of Stiller will be quashed.

About Angelo Stiller

The 23-year-old Stiller was born in Munich, Germany on April 4, 2001. He is 1.83 meters tall and plays as a defensive midfielder.

Stiller joined Bayern Munich's youth academy since he was a child. He began to play for the Bayern B team in 2019 and completed his Bayern Munich first-team debut by coming on  as a substitute in a DFB-Pokal match in October of the following year.

After leaving the club after his contract had expired in the summer of 2021, Stiller moved to Hoffenheim as a free agent.

In August 2023, Stiller moved to Stuttgart for €5.5 million.

Since becoming a member of Stuttgart, Stiller has played 64 times for the Bundesliga in all competitions so far, scoring 3 goals and 11 assists, and has reached the quarter-finals of the DFB-Pokal once with the club.

In addition, according to the authoritative statistics website FBref, so far this season, Stiller is one of the players with the highest interception success rate in the Europe's top 5 leagues after Liverpool wonderkid Ryan Gravenberch.
