German esports powerhouse MOUZ confirmed on Friday via their official X (Twitter) account that Crystallis will return to the starting roster as their carry for the DOTA 2 team during the PGL Wallachia Season 6 playoffs.
According to MOUZ's official statement, Crystallis will replace Malaysian Chinese player Daniel Chan (ID: Ghost) in the starting roster to participate in the ongoing PGL Wallachia Season 6 playoffs.
In fact, MOUZ had already quietly arranged Crystallis to participate before issuing this statement. However, because it wasn't officially announced at the time, netizens assumed he was only temporarily playing as a stand-in.
However, Crystallis's return has drawn mixed reactions from netizens.
Some netizens believe that the player, on-loan from Tundra, might be able to use his rich experience and impressive individual performance since the end of last year to lead the team to glory.
Others believe that his sudden return to the starting roster may affect the chemistry between the players.
It's worth noting that Crystallis isn't the first roster change MOUZ has made for this tournament.
Before the tournament, in-game leader Seleri was also unable to travel with the team due to personal reasons, but he has promised to return for the next tournament.
His position has been taken by former NAVI Ukrainian prodigy kaori.
However, Crystallis's return hasn't truly paid off yet. Before his official return to the starting roster, he played two games for MOUZ in the PGL Wallachia Season 6 Playoffs.
However, his comeback debut was unsuccessful, losing 2-1 to PARIVISION.
Later, his Dragon Knight helped MOUZ defeat HEROIC 2-0, with a KDA of 6-0-11.
Next, they will face the in-form Southeast Asian team OG. It remains to be seen whether Crystallis can help MOUZ continue their winning streak.
