Due to poor performance, Betclic officially announced the demotion of sniper Melavi.

Betclic officially announced on Saturday that Polish sniper Patrick Barenski (ID: Melavi) has been relegated to the bench. This move is seen as the first step in Betclic's strategic adjustments and roster restructuring following underperforming results.

Melavi, 22, transferred from Anonymo to Betclic in October 2025, replacing Milan Polowitz (ID: hypex) in the starting lineup. However, Melavi's arrival has not brought the expected chemistry: to date, he has played 28 maps and participated in 612 rounds for Betclic, with an average rating of only 0.96.

Regarding this adjustment, Betclic founder and CEO Gonzalo Brandello said, "I sincerely thank Melavi. He joined the team during its most difficult period but performed like a champion. Although the overall situation wasn't ideal, his skills were outstanding. I wish him all the best for the future!"

In fact, Melavi's demotion was not entirely unexpected. About a week ago, Brandello issued a statement saying, "Given our recent underperformance, after careful consideration, we have decided to withdraw from the Galaxy Battle, Draculan, and DreamHack Stockholm events."

"We will use this time to reflect, adjust, and make the best decisions for the team's future. This has been a very difficult period, and we must redefine our long-term goals. We believe we will soon return to the top and revitalize ourselves, achieving our vision for the team and the Polish CS2 scene."

With Melavi's departure, Betclic's current roster is as follows:

Rifleman: Pawiu Diga (ID: dycha)

Free agent: Patrick Tomashevski (ID: Demho)

Commander/Rifleman: Wojciech Shilba (ID: Prism)

Coach: Yonjay Roquita (ID: Bogdan)

Substitute: Patrick Barenski (ID: Melavi)
