Puppey joins PARIVISION as interim coach

Eastern European powerhouse PARIVISION dropped a bombshell, announcing that Dota 2 legend and TI 2011 champion captain Puppey will serve as interim coach for DreamLeague Season 27.

This move not only symbolizes the veteran conductor's first transition to coaching, but also brings PARIVISION into the spotlight ahead of the last major event of the year.

PARIVISION's original coach, Astini, suddenly resigned five days before the start of the tournament. Since the team was established last October, he had led the team to win three major championships and achieved two runner-up finishes at the Dota 2 Esports World Cup and TI 2025.

However, the team's performance declined in the new season. They only ranked 9th-11th in FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 and were eliminated from the top six in PGL Wallachia S6. Their results were not as expected, which led to this coaching change.

In an effort to regain their form for DreamLeague Season 27, PARIVISION urgently sought a coach, and 35-year-old veteran Puppey joined at a crucial moment. As the first TI champion, founder and long-term core of Team Secret, he has been a symbolic figure in the professional scene for over a decade.

Despite Puppey's recent decline from top-tier competitions and Team Secret's lack of a full roster this season, he continues to participate in qualifiers and smaller tournaments, remaining active.

Puppey's move to PARIVISION marks his first coaching attempt in his professional career, coinciding with the DreamLeague Season 27 (December 10-21). The tournament boasts a total prize pool of $1 million, with 24 teams vying for substantial ESL Pro Tour points, making it one of the most anticipated international events of the year.
