Newly formed League of Legends team French Flair forced to part ways with star jungler Bwipo due to rule violations..

Sheep Esports exclusively reported on Thursday that the newly formed French League of Legends team, French Flair, which is only a week old, has been forced to part ways with star jungler Bwipo due to rule violations.

According to the report, despite initially qualifying for the LFL Invitational and the EMEA Masters Winter, and even potentially qualifying for the 2026 LFL season, French Flair was forced to part ways with Bwipo because tournament rules limit a team's active roster to a maximum of two experienced players.

The team is now actively searching for a new jungler, with 18-year-old former Ici Japon Corp player Theocacs being considered a primary target.

According to Riot Games' rules, each EMEA Regional League (ERL) team can only have a maximum of two experienced players in their active roster; these players are referred to as "veterans."

The definition of a "veteran" player is: "A player who has had a 50% or higher appearance rate in professional leagues (LEC, LCS, LPL, LCK, etc.) for at least three of the past five full seasons."

"Article 3.1.5 explicitly states that no more than two such 'veterans' may be included in the ERL starting roster."

This rule was initially ignored by teams and tournament organizers, but due to strict enforcement by Riot Games and Webedi, French Flair was forced to make adjustments.

Bwipo (the team's only non-native French speaker), became the player French Flair decided to remove from the starting roster.

French Flair had only announced the signing of Bwipo on December 3rd, and at that time, perhaps due to a vetting oversight, LFL did not prevent the player from joining the new French team.

It's worth noting that similar situations have occurred before with League of Legends ERL teams.

Two years ago, Papara SuperMassive was forced to part ways with their support player Blue, who held dual Belgian and Turkish citizenship but was not a Turkish resident, violating the rule that each team's current roster must have at least two residial player.

Even earlier, Mongolian jungler Yuuji was also designated as EMEA player by Riot Games due to his citizenship, despite previously only playing for North American teams. He was banned from playing for any EMEA team in 2022.

French Flair is a new team founded in early December 2025 by TraYtoN, G2's French streamer and a former Vitality Academy midlaner.

The team's current roster includes:

Top: Adam

Mid: Saken

Bot: 3XA

Support: Targamas

These players are all established stars who have previously achieved top-3 finishes in multiple top-tier tournaments.

Before its official formation, the team participated in the NNO Cup Season 2 in 2024. However, they could only secure third place due to their defeat against 5 Pigs 1 Team.
