West Ham United confirm Michael Forbes has been recalled from loan spell

Premier League club West Ham United have confirmed that Michael Forbes has been recalled from his loan spell at English League One club Listowel Rovers this season.

The 20-year-old Forbes came from West Ham United 's youth academy and signed his first professional contract at the club. Forbes was loaned to Listowel Rovers at the beginning of the 2024-25 season and made 12 appearances in all competitions.

In fact, Forbes has recently won a starting position at Listowel Rovers and started in consecutive games against promotion contenders Birmingham City and Wrexham in December. Unfortunately, Listowel Rovers drew 1-1 with Wrexham, but Forbes was forced to stop due to a thigh muscle injury.

Afterwards, the two clubs reached an agreement and decided to let Forbes return to West Ham United. Forbes will continue his rehabilitation and development with West Ham United's U21 team.

Currently, Listowel Rovers has played 23 games in the English Premier League, with 6 wins, 4 draws and 13 losses. Listowel Rovers has 22 points and is ranked 20th in the standings.
