A rundown of the top kill-stealing champions in the Rift: Mages lead the pack among marksmen, but surprisingly, junglers aren't even on the list?

The sense of superiority from defeating an opponent is indescribable, especially the moment of reaping a kill. All the arduous maneuvers finally pay off, especially with heroes whose skill mechanics are notoriously difficult to master. Dodging left and right, leaping and diving, fingers frantically tapping buttons, practically scraping the phone screen, all for the sake of taking down the enemy. But have you ever wondered? With so many heroes in the Rift, and teammates all vying for kills, who has the highest kill count? Experienced gamers have long held the belief that junglers are the reapers, ambushing and diving in from behind. Does this mean other roles have no place in this regard? According to data from the King of Glory website, there seems to be another answer.

Shangguan Wan'er

Shangguan Wan'er is a high-skill hero, traditionally a staple of high-level play. After the rework, her survivability improved, allowing her to be played across all skill levels. Currently, she's not a mainstream mage; her assassin-like mid-lane style is difficult to play, as she suffers frequent debuffs against support heroes and can be easily one-shotted by burst damage dealers. She's often dead before she can even take her first step. After several iterations, abandoning the Flash-based pure magic build and switching to a Berserker semi-tank build, she finally found her place. This change in playstyle stems from a search for that meager survival rate – the fate of damage-dealing heroes: only by surviving can they have a chance to deal damage.

As Season 42 approaches, she is gradually shifting back to her original full magic build, wearing high-quality skins with a smooth feel. As long as her combos don't go wrong, her damage is extremely explosive. After taking flight, she enters an invincible state, constantly throwing magic orbs. Unless she maintains a safe distance or has teammates willing to share the damage, she will forcibly withstand all magic attacks throughout the game. Her average kills per game have reached 6.02. In other words, with Shangguan Wan'er on the field, there will be at least six kills. Of course, it ultimately comes down to the player's own skill level.

The way to counter it is very simple: interrupt the skill release before she picks up the brush. The reason why she interrupts the ultimate skill is that the ink of the brush did not hit the enemy or the brush stroke, so knocking her back is the best way. Wu Zetian, Gan Jiang Mo Xie, and Zhang Fei transform into beasts. After the ultimate skill is interrupted, Wan'er is forced to withdraw her weapon and pull her body back by moving her position to avoid damage.
