Aab official announcement: Viggo and Stesso will be temporarily leaving the CS competitive scene to focus on their studies.

Aab's CS2 team announced on Thursday that two Danish riflers, Viktor Simonsen (ID: Viggo) and Mark Sorensen (ID: stesso), have officially left the team.

As former teammates who grew up together at MOLO and Daystar, Viggo and stesso have been playing side-by-side on AaB since July of this year. To date, 20-year-old Viggo has played a total of 157 maps and participated in 3383 rounds on Aab, with an average rating of 1.01. 24-year-old stesso, on the other hand, has played 138 maps and participated in 2972 rounds on Aab, with an average rating of only 0.96.

Regarding the departures of Viggo and Stesso, Aab explained in its announcement: "As a club, we have to make many roster adjustments. Although change is never easy, it reflects our values and operating methods. At AaB Esports, we firmly believe that long-term success begins with supporting individual players. We always respect players' personal goals, life choices, and aspirations, even if it means the team has to make difficult decisions in the short term."

“Since AaB’s inception, roster adjustments have rarely been initiated by the club. In most cases, it is the players who have chosen different paths – whether it is trying a new playstyle, taking a break from professional CS, or adjusting priorities as they change in their life stages. We do not see this as a weakness, but rather as proof that our players are able to freely and honestly express their needs and future development directions.”

"This adjustment also follows this principle. Viggo and Stesso have both decided to temporarily leave the CS professional scene to focus on completing their studies and pursuing life goals outside of esports."

"With our full support, the two players have officially left the team. They are now able to temporarily leave the CS arena and fully dedicate themselves to the next stage of their lives. Although it is hard to say goodbye to two players who are so important to AaB, we are proud not to hinder our players at this turning point in their lives. We hope to be a club without constraints, where players can look back with respect and gratitude."

Following the departure of two players, AaB coach Lucas Brunsweg (ID: Gnøffe) has also decided to end his partnership with the team. AaB stated, "Gnøffe initially signed with AaB to coach Viggo and Stesso, and we communicated with him after the personnel changes. Gnøffe subsequently expressed his desire to terminate his contract with AaB early so that he could continue coaching players of his own choosing."

“We have accepted Gnøffe’s request to terminate his contract, and he has now officially left the team. We sincerely thank him for his short but valuable contributions during his tenure.”

Aab concluded by stating that two new players will be officially joining the team soon. The team's current roster is as follows:

Rifleman: Emil Sal Witz (ID: Mol011)

Sniper: Tobias Becker (ID: bekker)

Rifleman: Sand Thomas (ID: qx)
