Serie A – Nkunku scores twice as AC Milan defeat Verona 3-0.

In another key match of the 17th round of the 2025/26 Serie A season, AC Milan, playing at home at the San Siro, defeated Verona 3-0 thanks to goals from Pulisic and Nkunku.

In the 13th minute, Verona launched an attack down the right flank, but AC Milan midfielder Modric thwarted the chance. In the 19th minute, AC Milan's attack was cleared, and Loftus-Cheek received the ball at the edge of the penalty area and unleashed a long-range shot, but the ball was deflected and went wide of the post.

In the 26th minute, AC Milan launched an attack. Rabiot crossed the ball from the penalty area, and Nkunku attempted a shot but failed to connect with the ball. In the 29th minute, Modric took a corner kick, and Saelemaekers unleashed a shot, but the ball went high.

In the 35th minute, Verona attempted a counter-attack. Sheikh Nias received a pass from Giovanni and took a long-range shot, but the ball went wide of the post. In the 40th minute, Antoine Bernard met the ball and shot, but the ball hit an opposing player and went out of play.

In the first half stoppage time, AC Milan took a corner kick, Rabiot headed the ball across, and Pulisic volleyed it into the net, giving AC Milan a 1-0 lead.

In the 48th minute of the second half, Nkunku was brought down in the penalty area while attempting to receive the ball, and the referee awarded AC Milan a penalty. Nkunku then converted the penalty, giving AC Milan a 2-0 lead over Verona.

In the 53rd minute, Modric received the ball in a scramble and took a long-range shot from the edge of the penalty area, but the ball was deflected by Verona goalkeeper Montipó. Nkunku then seized the opportunity and shot the ball into the empty net, helping AC Milan extend their lead to 3-0.

In the 55th minute, Rabiot received a pass from Loftus-Cheek and unleashed a long-range shot, but it went wide. In the 59th minute, AC Milan took a free kick, and De Went's header was saved by Verona goalkeeper Montipo. In the 61st minute, Nkunku played a through ball to Loftus-Cheek, who received it and shot from inside the box, but the ball was caught by Montipo.

In the 70th minute, AC Milan substituted Aldan Yassari for Modric. In the 87th minute, Verona striker Guift Orban scored in a goalmouth scramble, but the goal was disallowed because Orban had fouled AC Milan goalkeeper Maignan earlier.

AC Milan ultimately secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Verona at home. With these three points, AC Milan currently sits in second place in the league standings with 35 points.
