Angers completes contract extension with French defenderJordán Lefort..

Angers announced on their official website on Wednesday that the club have extended the contract of its French defender Jordán Lefort.

According to Angers' official statement, Lefort has signed on a new three-year contract which runs until the summer of 2029.

About Jordán Lefort

The 32-year-old Jordán Lefort was born on August 9, 1993, in Champigny-sur-Marne, France. He is 1.83 meters tall and primarily plays as a center-back, but can also play as a left-back.

Lefort learned at the Centre Formation Foot Paris, which was accredited by the French Football Federation, and after graduating in 2010, he joined Strasbourg's youth academy through a referral. The following year, he moved to Amiens' youth academy before completing his Amiens first-team debut in a Coupe de la Ligue match in August 2013.

During his five-and-a-half-year spell at Amiens, Lefort helped the team achieve promotion from the third division to Ligue 1.

During this period, he also played on-loan for Quevilly-Rouen. Although he couldn't help the team avoid relegation, his outstanding individual performances were still highly praised.

In January 2020, Lefort was loaned to Young Boys.

After helping the club achieve the Swiss Super League and the Swiss Cup double, Young Boys officially bought out Lefort's rights for €1 million that summer.

Over the next two years, he helped Young Boys win another Swiss Super League title.

On the 2022 summer transfer window deadline day, Lefort joined Paris FC for €1.5 million.

After his contract expired the following July, Lefort joined Angers as a free agent.

Since joining Angers, Lefort has so far made 93 appearances for the Ligue 1 club in all competitions, providing 3 assists.
