Brighton & Hove Albion announced on their official website on Friday that Borussia Dortmund's Germany international midfielder Pascal Groß has rejoined the club.
According to Brighton's official statement, Groß has signed on a short-term one-and-a-half-year deal with the club which will only run until the summer of 2027. He will also wear the number 30 shirt.
According to BILD's resident renowned German transfer journalist Chrisitian Falk, the Seagulls paid BVB a total transfer fee of £2 million to re-sign Groß.
After completing his transfer, Groß, who was interviewed by Brighton's official website again, said: "I'm really happy to be back at Brighton. Leaving something you know very well is often difficult, but now everything is settled, and I'm really happy to be back at Brighton, back in the Premier League, playing with many people I still know here. I'm really looking forward about it."
"My agent informed me that several other clubs had made offers, but from the beginning, I was determined to come back to Brighton, back here, and play in the Premier League again."
"From an external perspective, we have a very good team which can win every game, and when necessary, even pull off draws from seemingly impossible situations. It all depends on consistency and the high level we maintain to ensure we're in a better position by the end of the season."
"Fortunately, I'm back here early, which I'm very happy about. Now I just want to get back to work as soon as possible and help the team again as much as I can."
