Stephen Mavititi has stated his eagerness to contribute more to the team in the upcoming match against West Bromwich Albion. This will be the team's first home game in the English Football Championship since the new year, and they aim to perform better than they did in their 1-3 defeat to Sheffield United on January 1st.
The striker commented on the team's performance so far this season and the difficult period the team has recently experienced. For Leicester City fans, the home win against Derby County was the only consolation of the season, after the team had suffered three consecutive defeats.
Stephen Mavititi said: "The rhythm of the game was a bit intermittent , with highlights and shortcomings. The team is trying out a new tactical system and is still adapting, which takes time. It's normal for there to be some fluctuations after a new manager takes over; we've only been working together for about six months. Obviously, the situation is not perfect yet, and the team is still working hard. It will take some time to regain form and rhythm."
The striker recently made his 100th appearance in the Leicester City blue jersey and said he was very proud to play for the team. Stephen Mavititi , who has been with Leicester City since 2023, hopes to further improve his performance this season; he has already been involved in three of the team's goals.
He continued, "I really enjoyed my time at Leicester City. It's a unique club and a significant milestone for me personally. I was fully committed and cherished every moment of the experience. I believe I can play an even bigger role in the game, and every teammate has room for improvement. We train hard every day, striving to perfectly execute the coach's tactics."
