Marcus Tafenir admitted that the victory over Tottenham Hotspur was of great significance to the club and its fans.

Marcus Tafnir stated that Bournemouth's victory over Tottenham Hotspur at the Vitality Stadium had a profound psychological impact on the team's morale and the fans' confidence. The match was a rollercoaster, with goals from Francesco Evanilson and Klupi bringing the home side close to victory, but Mattis Ter's strike ultimately changed the course of the game.  

After João Palinha leveled the score at 2-2 with a difficult, acrobatic shot, Antoine Semenho calmly slotted the ball into the top corner of the net in the final moments of the match, securing a memorable 3-2 victory for Bournemouth. This win also ended the team's embarrassing 11-game winless streak in the Premier League.  

When asked if the victory relieved the team of mental pressure, Marcus Tafenier said, "Mentally, this game was crucial for both us and the fans. I think the fans have every reason to be proud of our performance today and the three points we made. We haven't felt this way in a long time."
