Liu Shan, the king of tower demolition, could easily smash Yu the Great's cauldron, so taking him on an expedition is fearless. Of course, there are many ways to counter him, depending on what attribute the player wants to target. One of Yu the Great's advantages is the invincibility buff he gains when standing on the cauldron, which means his immunity is greatly increased. Things like freezing, knockback, knock-up, and stun are ineffective against him. It's very similar to laning against Zhuang Zhou, except one side can move freely while Yu the Great is restricted to one place. Since he loves to stand and fight, let's keep him in place and kill him on the spot.

Zhang Liang: Ignores the effects of invincibility.

Control-type heroes can be divided into several types. In terms of top-tier skills, Donghuang Taiyi's Star Absorption Technique and Zhang Liang's Binding are undoubtedly the best. In the game, these skills are called "suppression," not control. They mean that during the casting process, the target is forced to stay in place and cannot move unless interrupted. Donghuang Taiyi himself does not have this problem. He can even transfer the damage he takes to the target he has bound. Unfortunately, he is banned too often. With the ban limit fully open and no longer differentiated by rank, he is basically unplayable. Zhang Liang, on the other hand, has an invulnerability card.

Zhang Liang's low ban rate is due to his primary role as a mage, though he can also play support. He's relatively fragile, making him easier to counter compared to Donghuang Taiyi. His ultimate can be interrupted, and being surrounded will scare him into fleeing immediately. Even if he manages to stall for a few more seconds, without Flash, he's vulnerable. Therefore, ganking him requires precise timing; you need to be cunning and coordinate with teammates to quickly and accurately focus fire on the target for it to be effective. Thus, Zhang Liang's ultimate ignores the immunity of Da Yu's invulnerability, not to mention the unnecessary action of standing on the cauldron. In team fights, initiating an attack becomes his breakthrough point.

Zhuang Zhou: Remove ultimate skill crowd control

The third is Zhuang Zhou. While he can't directly kill Yu the Great, he can disable Yu's knock-up control, especially his ultimate's area-of-effect control. Zhuang Zhou's ultimate can cleanse the area, eliminating Yu's threat, reducing his role in team fights, and disrupting the team's rhythm. In summary, if you like breaking the cauldron, choose Liu Shan; if you need to counter invulnerability effects, switch to Zhang Liang; if you want to remove area-of-effect control, exclude Zhuang Zhou. Yu the Great isn't as scary as you might think, so there's no need to worry. On the contrary, T0 heroes are much harder to deal with.
