February 17th - In the final dunk contest, Miami Heat's Kesha Johnson pulled off a stunning upset to win the championship with his high-difficulty moves and consistent performance .

This year's Slam Dunk Contest features four contestants: Carter Bryant of the Spurs, Hayes of the Lakers, Jayce Richardson of the Magic, and Kesha Johnson.

In the first round, Keisha Johnson scored 47.4 points with a jump over a human obstacle and a reverse dunk , advancing smoothly. Jess Richardson lost his balance and fell while attempting a difficult move, forcing him to change his attempt and only scoring 43.4 points. Hayes attempted a free-throw line dunk but performed poorly in the first round, scoring only 44.6 points.
