Justin Deveney is satisfied with his performance and is very grateful for the coach's trust

Justin Devenney was handed his third start of the season for Crystal Palace against Doncaster Rovers, playing in the No.10 position and linking up well with Daniel Munoz on the right side of the pitch.

Crystal Palace led 1-0 early in the second half when Daniel Munoz's cross found Justin Devenney metres from goal, but the player missed. A few minutes later, Will Hughes' pass found Justin Devenney, who struck a beautiful high shot to ensure Crystal Palace progressed to the fifth round.

After the game, Justin Deveney said: "I am happy with my performance at times, and I am happy with this goal."

"I could have gotten a hat-trick but, like I said, especially with the mistake in my mind, it was probably an easier chance. When that chance came to me, I knew I had to score and I'm glad I did."

This was Justin Deveney's 13th appearance of the season. He played for the team for the first time in November last year. Justin Deveney said when he started: "This is all I ask for. All I can do is to participate in training every day and do my best to help the team. In addition, I am grateful for the trust that coach Oliver Glasner has given me."

"I'm very happy that I lived up to the trust the coach showed me, so I'm happy with my performance. It feels good wherever I play because I know I have 10 people around me who will help me."

“I’m happy to be able to adapt to this position, which gives me more freedom with the ball. However, I think I was a little bit rusty at times in this game, but luckily, I did manage to score. Also, one thing I noticed in the dressing room after the game was that the fans have always supported us. They come every week. It was cold that day, but so many people came, which was really great.”
