Former HEROIC analyst ScrunK officially appointed as new BIG head coach..

German Counter Strike 2 (CS2) powerhouse BIG announced on Thursday through its official X (Twitter) account that the club has signed former HEROIC analyst ScrunK as its new head coach.

According to BIG's official statement, ScrunK will contribute his rich experience to the team to help BIG return to the top 20. He will be coaching the team for the first time at the European E-sports Championship (EEC) Kosovo.

Interim coach xenn will continue to stay with the team as an assistant to assist ScrunK, and also serve as the coach of BIG's Academy team.

In addition, since the AWP-er hyped who recently underwent a minor surgery is still recovering, he will not be able to play with the team. ScrunK will replace hyped as a temporary substitute.

Regarding his appointment as BIG's head coach, ScrunK said: "It's time to take the next step in my career and I'm very happy to start this step with BIG."

About ScrunK

The 30-year-old ScrunK was born in Germany on July 10, 1995, and has been a professional Counter Strike (CS) e-sports player since 2012.

As a player, ScrunK has played for several German clubs such as DIVIZON, EURONICS and ALTERNATE aTTaX during his career of more than 10 years. He joined Sangal in 2021.

In October 2023, ScrunK joined HEROIC as an analyst.

In August of the following year, ScrunK came out of retirement to become a player of Fire Flux.

During this spell, he participated in the CCT Season 3 European Series 2 with Fire Flux, but lost to Betclic Apogee 0:2 and could only be eliminated in the round of 16s.
