Totti Gomes: We will keep our confidence in the next games and do our best to win every game

Totti Gomes believes the team will continue to improve under manager Vitor Pereira, who have won two games in a row before the game against Liverpool. Wolves' most recent victory was against Blackburn Rovers to advance to the fifth round of the FA Cup.  

Wolves have won all four games the defender has played in since starting under Vitor Pereira, without conceding a single goal, and Totti Gomes believes his manager's professional approach will carry them into the rest of the season.  

Regarding the successful advancement to the fifth round of the FA Cup, Totti Gomes said: "The game was very professional. We knew we had to respect our opponents, and we did it. We knew it was a difficult game, so no one took it lightly in the game. This is what we did, and this is what the coach asked us to do."  

“We didn’t let down our guard because it wasn’t the Premier League and I think everyone tried their best and that’s why we were able to win, but it wasn’t easy. The pitch was frozen when we got there and we knew it wasn’t going to be easy because it was so windy. But the weather was the same for both teams so we just had to try our best.”  

"The first goal was important, but the second goal was even more important, it made us relax a little bit. But we knew that the second goal didn't mean the game was over. We always respected the opponent and tried to score more goals. Unfortunately, we didn't score more goals. The players tried their best to keep scoring goals, so I'm proud of them. Scoring two goals is already good."  

Totti Gomes also said: "Two wins have boosted our confidence, the first was the Premier League game against Aston Villa, and now the cup. In addition, it is also a good thing to change some players because every player can get a chance to play in the game."  

"We need to keep our confidence going and go further. We are still in the Premier League and FA Cup. So we will continue to take it one game at a time and try our best to get more wins."
