According to PGL's official statement, the company received a notice from the management of the Kraków Tauron Arena after announcing that it would hold PGL Kraków 2027, stating that the venue had already been leased by the Kraków Municipality for three consecutive years in January in 2026, 2027 and 2028 to hold the annual grand event, so the venue management had to cancel PGL's rental request.

For this temporary decision, the Kraków Tauron Arena management would like to express deep regret to PGL and all the Counter Strike 2 (CS2) players and fans who are looking forward to PGL Kraków 2027.

Since the plan to hold this event at the Kraków Tauron Arena has been confirmed to be cancelled, PGL is also forced to temporarily cancel PGL Kraków 2027.

Despite this, PGL still plans to select another venue to host a large-scale Counter Strike 2 (CS2) event during this period, and the search for a new venue is already underway.

With this announcement, it also means that PGL's plan to hold a large-scale CS2 event in Kraków after an absence of 10 years has temporarily fallen through.

PGL Kraków 2027 was originally scheduled to be held at the Kraków Tauron Arena, Poland from January 13 to 25, 2027.

It is worth mentioning that another e-sports event organizer BLAST had also announced that it will hold a large-scale CS2 event - BLAST Bounty 2027 in January 2027, which means that PGL will not only face the problem of finding a new venue for PGL Kraków 2027 as soon as possible, but also face the problem that many powerhouses may choose not to participate in PGL Kraków 2027 because the event and BLAST Bounty 2027 will clash.
