In an effort to gain more control in the upcoming playoffs, the Atlanta Hawks officially announced on Monday that they have signed former Indiana Pacers center Tony Bradley.
Standing at 2.08 meters tall, Bradley is an experienced center who is currently in his eighth NBA season.
Bradley's journey this season has a strong connection with the Hawks. In the early part of the 2024-25 season, he played for the Hawks' G League affiliate (University Park) before moving to the Pacers.
In 38 games for the Pacers (including 3 starts), Bradley averaged 4 points and 2.8 rebounds. A seasoned piece of the puzzle, Bradley previously played for the Jazz, 76ers, Thunder, and Bulls, accumulating 20 playoff appearances.
Bradley's defensive toughness, rebounding instincts, and extensive experience will undoubtedly provide valuable reinforcements to the Hawks' bench.
Before facing the New York Knicks on Monday night, the Hawks were currently fifth in the Eastern Conference, and the team was focused on consolidating their position and aiming for a higher playoff seed. To make room on their regular roster for the arrival of Avery Bradley, the Hawks decided to place forward Caleb Hewstein on the trade list (waiver).
Hugh Stein signed a two-way contract with the team in October 2025 and converted it to a standard contract in February of this year. He played 18 games for the Hawks this season, averaging 2.3 points per game.
