Yuri Tielemans admitted that the team lacked sufficient ability to win games.

Yuri Tielemans has admitted that Aston Villa succumbed to a superior opponent at Craven Cottage, losing 0-1 to Fulham. Ryan Sessegnon's first-half goal secured three points for Fulham, while Aston Villa failed to capitalize on the chances they created.

After the match, the Belgian international spoke about his disappointment and the difficulties his opponents had presented. He said, "It's frustrating. We obviously lost the game, and I don't think we showed enough ability to win, which is even more disappointing."

“Our form today was perhaps not ideal, and this happens sometimes. We kept trying to stay in the game and create chances, but it just didn’t work. Fulham were fully committed from the start; they pressed very well, had excellent possession, and created some chances. It’s difficult to attack against them, and each of their players has their own strengths.”

With four Premier League games remaining this season, and the team also facing Nottingham Forest in the Europa League semi-final, the midfielder expressed his desire to finish the season positively. Yuri Tielemans emphasized that Aston Villa must quickly forget this defeat in order to respond when they visit the City Stadium on Thursday.

Yuri Tielemans added: "We know today wasn't our best day, but there are still a few games left in the season, and we have to seize the opportunity. We need to work hard to win these games to solidify our current position, which is the goal for the final stage of the season."
