Carlos Colberán: The match was difficult from the start, and the players' excellent physical condition was the key to victory.

In the post-match press conference, Carlos Colberán reviewed Valencia CF's 2-1 victory over Girona at the Mestalla Stadium.

At the press conference, Carlos Colberlin said: "It was a very difficult match, which we expected, because Girona is a tough opponent with strong ball control. They also showed some different tactical variations today, and the players' excellent stamina was the key to victory."

“We controlled the game better in the second half. I think we played better before the second goal we conceded, which happened when we desperately needed points and definitely hit morale. Nevertheless, our goal remains to stay united. Storr Dimitrevski was the key figure in our victory, and we also want to thank the fans; this victory belongs to them.”

“I won’t make any arbitrary judgments about the future, but I can talk about the current situation. Storr Dimitrievski deserves recognition. He played a key role in our recent four points, and I’ve always believed we have a sufficient number of goalkeepers. Júren Asirezavala was initially the starter, but Storr Dimitrievski consistently trained diligently, patiently waiting for his chance, and when it came, he made a significant contribution to the team, just like the players in other positions. For Valencia, having two high-level starting goalkeepers is crucial.”

“The match was full of challenges and difficulties from the start, but I’m glad the team remained stable and didn’t falter. With the competition in the league standings becoming increasingly fierce, the outcome often depends on the details. We showed strong fighting spirit and didn’t collapse, which I’m very satisfied with.”

“Everyone at Valencia CF is incredibly grateful to the fans. From today until the end of the season, we know that Mestalla Stadium is crucial to our points.”

"Everything is still not settled. We currently have 39 points, but we know we are not completely safe yet, so we must do our best to fight for the next 3 points. We feel a little sorry for ourselves because we could have gotten more points, so now we are giving it our all and hoping to deliver a better performance for the fans. There are still 15 points left in the league to fight for, which is very crucial. Our goal is to get as many points as possible."
