Hoffenheim announced on their official website on Saturday that they have extended the contract of its Kosovo international defender wonderkid Albian Hajdari.
According to Hoffenheim's official statement, Hajdari has signed on a new long-term five-year deal which runs until the summer of 2031.
After completing his contract extension procedures, Hajdari, who was interviewed by the Hoffenheim official website again, said: "I feel very comfortable at Hoffenheim. Even when I have just came here at the beginning of summer, I quickly realized that something special was being built here. The future is bright, and I hope to continue to actively contribute to this positive development and Hoffenheim's success."
About Albian Hajdari
Hajdari, who is only still 22 years old, was born on May 18, 2003, in Bingningen, Switzerland. He is 1.89 meters tall, primarily plays as a center-back, but can also play as a left-back. He holds dual Swiss and Kosovo citizenship.
Hajdari joined Basel's youth academy at the age of 11, then moved to Juventus' youth academy in 2020, only to be immediately loaned back to Basel for two years.
In September of the same year, at just 17 years old, Hajdari completed his Basel first-team debut by coming on as a substitute.
In March 2023, Haidari was loaned-out to Lugano. His ownership was subsequently permanently bought out in April of the following year.
During his two-year spell at Lugano, Hajdari helped the team reach the Swiss Cup final once.
In August 2025, Hajdari joined Hoffenheim for €4 million.
This season, so far, Haidari has made 28 appearances for the Bundesliga underdogs in all competitions, scoring one goal and providing five assists. uring which he has helped the team qualify for European competition and has reportedly attracted interest from Sunderland, Bournemouth, Brentford, and Brighton.
