In the 34th round of the 2025/26 Serie A season, Inter Milan drew 2-2 with Torino away from home. They currently sit comfortably at the top of the table with a record of 25 wins, 4 draws, and 5 losses, accumulating 79 points, 10 points ahead of second-placed Napoli.
Torino's record is now 11 wins, 8 draws and 15 losses, and they are currently ranked 13th in Serie A with 41 points.
Inter Milan initially dominated possession, threatening Torino just seven minutes into the game: Petar Sucic delivered a lobbed pass from the left flank, and Manuel Akanji's header inside the box went just wide. Torino attempted a response a minute later, but Saul Coco's shot, disrupted by Sucic, went high and wide.
As the game progressed, Inter Milan's attacks became increasingly fierce. In the 14th minute, Federico Dimarco delivered a cross from the left wing, and Jan Bisek's header at the far post was easily saved by Alberto Paleari. In the 20th minute, Ange-Yoan Bony broke through from the center circle to the edge of the box and fired a low shot, which was again caught by Paleari. In the 23rd minute, the Nerazzurri finally broke the deadlock: Dimarco delivered a diagonal pass from the left side of the penalty area, and Marcus Thuram headed the ball into the net at the far post.
Inter Milan led Torino 1-0 at halftime thanks to a header from Thuram. After the break, they continued their attack: in the 47th minute, Thuram's powerful shot from the edge of the box was blocked by Aldian Ismaily, and Dimarco's follow-up shot was also brilliantly saved by Paljari. In the 61st minute, Dimarco's corner kick from the left was headed in by Bicek in the center of the box to extend Inter's lead.
However, Inter Milan gradually lost ground after taking a two-goal lead. In the 70th minute, Emir Khan Ilhan passed the ball from the edge of the box to the right side, where Giovanni Simeone followed up with a chip shot to pull one back. In the 72nd minute, Luca Marianucci broke down the right wing and delivered a cross, but Simeone's shot inside the box went just wide. In the 75th minute, Rafael Obrador crossed from the left, and Duvan Zapata's header resulted in a handball by Carlos Augusto. After a VAR review, the referee awarded Torino a penalty, which Nikola Vlasic converted to equalize.
Neither side managed to score again, and the final score remained 2-2. Inter Milan only needs a win in the next league match to secure the Serie A title this season.
