Frankfurt officially announced on Thursday that it has completed the contract extension with 21-year-old German left-back Nathaniel Brown. The two parties agreed to extend the contract, which was originally scheduled to expire in 2029, for one year until June 30, 2030.
Frankfurt sporting director Timo Hartun explained the decision to renew Nathaniel Brown's contract: "We are very happy to see Nathaniel Brown making great progress in the team and firmly believe that his growth journey is far from over. We have always known Nathaniel's ability, so we are even more delighted that he can contribute to the team so quickly. Especially after a difficult period at the beginning of the season due to limited playing time, he is a good example of how hard work, assists and patience will eventually pay off."
Nathaniel Brown came from Nuremberg's youth training and made his debut for the first team in the Bundesliga on March 10, 2023. He then played 43 games for Nuremberg, scoring 1 goal and providing 8 assists.
In July 2024, Brown officially joined Frankfurt for 3 million euros. So far, he has made 18 appearances in Frankfurt, contributing 3 goals and 5 assists.
