Wolves boss Vitor Pereira says Nelson Semedo is a great captain

Wolves manager Vitor Pereira has praised the role Nelson Semedo has played since becoming captain and hopes the player will sign a new contract with the club to secure his future.  

Nelson Semedo's contract expires this summer but Vitor Pereira is hoping to agree a new deal for the player. Although Pereira says he has not yet made a decision on the permanent captaincy, he believes Semedo has done everything he should have done in the position.  

Vitor Pereira said: "Nelson Semedo is a very good captain for our team, he works hard and sets a good example for the others to try to help the team."  

"Because I have time, I am looking for the leader I want in the team. At the moment, I am not changing the captain, I am happy with Nelson Semedo. However, I am studying his personality and I need some time."  

"Nelson Semedo is a great player, he is professional and has the skills I like. Therefore, if the club asks me, I would say I want to be with him. Nevertheless, there are no discussions at the moment because there are still many things to be resolved and dealt with. It is difficult for me to think about everything, but we will find time to sit down and talk."
