Real Betis CEO Ramón Alarcón recently revealed that he does not rule out the possibility of Anthony staying with the team next season.
Anthony's loan at Real Betis will end this season, and the contract does not include a buyout clause. However, according to Ramon Alarcon's interview with Spanish radio station Canal Sur, Anthony made it clear that he wanted to stay with the team: "A few days ago, Anthony told me that he wanted to stay for another year. He likes Betis very much."
Alarcon also said: "Anthony was surprised and satisfied with all the help we provided him when he first arrived, especially in adapting to the new environment."
Anthony, 25, played for Sao Paulo and Ajax before joining Manchester United for 100 million euros in August 2022 under the recommendation of Ten Hag. He mainly played as a right winger in Manchester United, contributing 12 goals and 5 assists in 93 games in all lines, and won the FA Cup and the English League Cup with the team.
Due to unsatisfactory performance, Anthony's future at Manchester United is unclear since Ten Hag left. He joined Real Betis on loan in January this year and has made 7 appearances so far, scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists.
