The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 106-102 in their game. Austin Reaves missed the first half of the game due to right calf soreness.
Los Angeles Lakers coach JJ Redick reportedly did not update Austin Reeves' injury status after the game, saying only that the player was replaced as a precaution because he felt tightness in his calf. Despite the team missing two starters, the Los Angeles Lakers still won five straight games.
Rui Hachimura also missed the game with left patellar tendinopathy, which coach J.J. Reddy said was symptomatic and the player will be re-evaluated in a week. The forward injured his knee against Minnesota and will miss at least three games.
Dorian Finney-Smith started in place of Rui Hachimura against the Los Angeles Clippers. Austin Reaves' regular minutes were filled by Gabe Vincent and Jordan Goodwin, who combined for 13 points, seven steals and excellent defense.
Austin Reeves started 53 games for the Los Angeles Lakers, averaging 19.3 points, 6.1 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game. The Los Angeles Lakers have won 11 of 13 games after sweeping the Timberwolves and Clippers at home.
