James Tarkowski is delighted to have set a new record for Everton, leaving his mark in this league and showing the quality of the team. The central defender started the game against Brentford, which was James Tarkowski's 103rd consecutive Premier League appearance for the team.
This feat shows the contribution and stability of James Tarkowski since he joined Everton in July 2022. Now, James Tarkowski wants to play more exciting games like in recent weeks. Under the leadership of coach David Moyes, Everton has gone 7 games unbeaten and scored in every game.
"I was very lucky not to get injured during this period and to be able to play through the games," said James Tarkowski. "I wasn't suspended either, which really helped, and my coaches picked me for all these games. But it's not easy to play in the Premier League, so to be able to play 103 games in a row is something I'm really proud of."
"I've had periods of not playing at different clubs but whenever I get the chance to play I want to play. So if I can play I will play."
“I always value the importance of going to these camps because sometimes on the practice field, there’s a lot going on in a day. But you don’t really get a lot of time to hang out with your teammates and get involved, so I love the opportunity to bond with the team.”
"We've had some good results recently and we've been doing really well in terms of scoring goals. In fact, I think if we had defended better at times or taken more chances, we might have gotten a few more points. But I'm really proud of our recent performances and results."
James Tarkowski also said: "We want to keep this momentum going. We are in a good position going into the final. We can really leave a mark in this league and show what we are capable of."
"We have a small squad at the moment and some key players are injured, so it would be great to get them back before the end of the season and be competitive. We always want to be a strong team, but I think now we will see our confidence. At the moment, I am very happy with the situation of the team and hope to continue to work hard to make progress and get better and better."
