Jadon Sancho: We have to be more careful with our goals and take our chances until the very end

Jadon Sancho made an important contribution to Chelsea's goal against Crystal Palace and explained why he was disappointed that it was not enough to help his team win.
Jadon Sancho opened the scoring with a brilliant strike in the first half, setting up Cole Palmer, but Palace wasted several chances to extend their lead before and after halftime, with Jean-Philippe Mateta equalising in the dying seconds of the game.
After the game, Jadon Sancho said: "It's really frustrating not to get the three points. We played well and I felt we controlled most of the game, but one mistake cost us a goal."
"Also, we have to be more careful with goalscoring. We created so many chances but it was really frustrating not to score another goal to sum up the game."
"We worked hard on the training pitch to create chances for Nico Jackson, Cole Palmer, Pedro Neto and myself. We created good chances, we just had to be more cautious. If you don't take your chances in the Premier League, the game isn't over until the very end.
"We still play the same football, we still give it our all. That's football, we have to learn from it and move on."
Jadon Sancho had been attacking down the left flank and it was his performance that opened up the attack and Cole Palmer scored, all thanks to a fake move from Marc Cucurella. “I know he likes to keep his eyes on the ball when he receives it, so I thought if I get close and kick it out, there will be space behind,” said Sancho.
"They were playing one-on-one so we tried to space out and get into one-on-one situations. That's how we scored the first goal. I pulled the two players to me and I knew Cole Palmer was going to be in the middle and I found him. Then Cole Palmer did what he does, which he does every week."
“It’s really good to be able to play with Cole Palmer and hopefully we can connect more on the pitch and get more goals and assists.”
On the last day of the summer transfer window, Jadon Sancho joined Chelsea on loan from Manchester United. Since then, he has scored two goals and provided six assists in 15 games, becoming one of the key players for coach Enzo Maresca.
Jadon Sancho said: "I felt good from the first day, the coach and the players welcomed me, which is everything I wanted. I work hard every day and I am happy with the level of football I am playing. I just need to keep giving 100% on the court."
