In the 26th round of the 2024-25 La Liga season, Barcelona defeated Real Sociedad 4-0 at home and returned to the top of the list. Coach Hans Flick reminded the team not to take it lightly.

Barcelona won thanks to goals from Gerard Martin, Marc Casado, Ronald Araujo and Robert Lewandowski. Martin and Casado's goals were their first for Barcelona's first team.

In the post-match interview, Flick praised the team's performance: "Real Sociedad's early red card did change everything, but this was the result of our pressure. They are a very good team, but we deserved the victory today."

"Our defense and offense are running well, and I am very happy with the attitude of the players. Everyone is eager to win. Although Barcelona are back at the top of the table, Flick remains cautious, saying: "The season is still long and everything can change quickly. We have to fight until the end because we want to be the best."

Barcelona currently ranks first in La Liga with 57 points, one point ahead of Atletico Madrid. Barcelona's next La Liga match will be on March 9, at home against Osasuna. Before that, Barcelona will also play away against Benfica in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16.
