Team reporter: The Suns have no intention of trading Booker unless the player himself requests it

According to team reporter Gerald Burgett, the Phoenix Suns do not consider Devin Booker to be for sale.
The Suns have a record of 28 wins and 33 losses this season, and their playoff prospects are worrying. As one of the teams with the highest salary and luxury tax expenditures in the league, they are bound to reorganize their lineup during the offseason.
If the Suns decide to rebuild, Kevin Durant, 36, is likely to leave the team this summer. According to ESPN reporter Brian Windhorst, Durant is well aware of this and has reached a basic consensus with the Suns. Shams Charanie then added that the Suns will try their best to find an ideal next home for Durant. It is expected that four to six teams will express strong interest in Durant, and he has only one year left on his contract, which gives him more say in choosing his next home.
Another player who may leave the team is 31-year-old Bradley Beal, who was close to leaving the Suns before the trade deadline. According to ESPN, the Washington Wizards have expressed interest in reuniting with Beal, and the Atlanta Hawks are one of the few teams willing to accept his contract.
As for Devin Booker, the Suns have no interest in trading him, but plan to rebuild the lineup around him. Gerald Burgett made it clear on the PHNX Sports podcast: "Multiple sources told me that unless the Suns go further in the playoffs, they will be open to all possibilities this summer. But there is one exception - Devin Booker will never be traded."
Booker's contract with the Suns will last until 2028. As a star who is still in his prime, the Suns have no reason to send him away. Burget further pointed out that the only possible situation for a deal is if Booker himself applies. Booker is still loyal to the Suns, but if the team lacks championship strength for a long time, it is not ruled out that he will seek to leave the team.
