ATOX misses BLAST Lisbon Open and other events due to suspected match-fixing


The BLAST Lisbon Open officially announced on Thursday that the Mongolian Counter-Strike 2 (CSGO 2) team ATOX has been disqualified from participating.


ATOX is currently banned from all events hosted by ESIC members for allegedly participating in match-fixing in the 2024 ESL Professional League (EPL 2024). The team will be replaced by another Mongolian team, The Huns, in the BLAST Lisbon Open, which will be the second place in the Asian qualifiers.


According to the official schedule, the opening match of Group A of BLAST Lisbon Open is scheduled for March 19, Central European Time, and Group B will have its first match on March 20. The following is the adjusted schedule:

Group A Opening Match

Spirit vs. The Huns - 12:00

MOUZ vs. Falcons - 14:30

Vitality vs. Astralis - 17:00

FaZe vs. Virtus.pro - 19:30


Group B Opening Match

G2 vs. Imperial - 12:00

Eternal Fire vs. Liquid - 14:30

The MongolZ vs. M80 - 17:00

NAVI vs. FURIA - 19:30


The details of ATOX's ban have not yet been made public, and ESIC has not officially announced the decision. However, following the BLAST Lisbon Open, PGL also disqualified ATOX from participating in the 2025 PGL Bucharest Asia Qualifiers.
