Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic is making NBA history, and his individual performance is comparable to that of legendary 1960s center Wilt Chamberlain.
In the past three games, Jokic has scored a total of 90 points, 50 rebounds and 30 assists. This is the fourth time in his career that he has achieved this crazy data, and no other player has done this since the merger of the NBA and ABA.
This season, many people believe that Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is one of the strongest contenders for MVP, after all, he led the Thunder to the top of the Western Conference. However, as the season progresses, more and more people begin to recognize Jokic as the best player in the NBA today.
When asked about the possibility of winning his fourth MVP, Jokic's answer was still low-key. He even praised his rival Alexander: "This is the third or fourth year in a row that I have been discussed about this issue... I can't control the results. I can only say that I think I am playing the best basketball of my career. If this is enough, it is enough; if it is not enough, then he (Alexander) definitely deserves it, he is really outstanding."
For Jokic, if there is anything more important than a fourth regular season MVP, it is undoubtedly a second NBA Finals MVP.
With only a little over a month left before the playoffs, the defending champion Nuggets are still one of the most threatening teams in the West. Jokic's goal is clear - to lead the Nuggets to defend the championship and prove himself again as the most dominant player in the league.
