Jesus admits he is too hard on himself and is trying to relax

Arsenal's Gabriel Jesus admits he has been hard on himself during his recovery and is considering hiring a therapist to help him channel his emotions on the pitch.

Jesus has been in great form lately, scoring six goals in his last five games for Arsenal. Prior to this, Jesus had not scored in his previous 10 games. This situation could backfire on him, and that is what he wants to fix.

"Maybe I'm so hard on myself because I know my talent and what I can do," Jesus said. "I also know where I am in my career and if I don't score, people will judge me."

"I've had a few people tell me that I'm too hard on myself. But where I come from, I have to work hard and do the best I can. I'm a very emotional person, but I try to put my emotions aside and stay focused and stay strong. Even though it's hard at times, I know I need to be strong."

"Confidence is very important for a football player. If you have confidence, then you are a completely different player. If you have no confidence or your confidence level is very low, then it is also completely different. Therefore, I am trying to stay confident."

"I've tried to work with someone, but I'm a quiet person and not a cheerful person. Now, I talk to my wife a lot, and before that, I talked to my mom , brother and good friends a few times. Anyway, I'm trying to open it up and have someone to talk to to help me deal with these bad emotions."
