English League Cup - 1-2 win over Liverpool and Newcastle

The final of the 2024/25 English League Cup was staged at Wembley Stadium. The "Red Army" Liverpool lost to the "Magpies" Newcastle 1-2 after Chiesa scored in the final stage of the second half after leading, and missed the chance to win the championship.

Four minutes into the game, Newcastle created an attacking opportunity from the right, Harvey Barnes received a cross from Jacob Murphy and shot, but the ball went directly out of the goal.
