Stade Rennais completes contract extension with young French midfielder Djaoui Cissé..


Stade Rennais announced on its official website on Sunday that the club has extended the contract of its young French midfielder Djaoui Cissé.


According to Rennes' official statement, Cissé has signed on a new long-term four-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2029.


After completing his contract extension procedures, Cissé, who was interviewed by Stade Rennais' official website again, said: "I am obviously very happy to continue this journey with the club where I have played since my youth academy. The past two months have been very good for me. I try to repay the trust of the coach and staff in every game. I am lucky to be in a great locker room surrounded by experienced players, especially Seko (Fofana), who gave me a lot of advice."


About Djaoui Cissé


Cissé, who is only 21 years old, was born on January 31, 2004 in Juvisy-sur-Orge, France. He is 1.88 meters tall and plays as a center midfielder. He has dual French and Malian nationalities.


Cissé joined the youth academy of non-league club US Grigny since he was a child. He joined Rennes' youth academy in 2019, started playing for its reserve team in 2021, and completed his Rennes first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in February 2024.


Since becoming a member of Les Rouge et Noirs, so far, Cissé has played 10 times for the Ligue 1 powerhouse in all competitions and scored 1 goal.
