Villarreal official: has renewed the contract with 19-year-old defender Pau Navarro until 2030

Real Madrid officially announced that Pau Navarro's contract will be extended from 2027 to June 30, 2030.

Paulo Navarro joined Villarreal's youth training camp at the age of 9 and made his debut for the first team in La Liga on September 26, 2024. Now only 19 years old, he mainly plays as a central defender and right back. He has played 12 times for Villarreal so far, but has not scored a goal or assist.

By renewing the contract with Pau Navarro, Villarreal further demonstrated its emphasis on and trust in youth training. They also took this opportunity to set up a 30 million euro release clause for the player.

Paul Navarro said after signing: "The contract extension is a happy event for me and my family. We knew everything was going well, but I didn't expect the club to value me so much. After learning the news, I told my parents and girlfriend as soon as possible."

"After months of communication, we finally reached an agreement that is beneficial to all parties. I hope the team can qualify for the Champions League and I can stay in Villarreal for a long time. Playing in La Liga and playing for Villarreal, I am fulfilling the dream of every child. When I first came here, this goal seemed out of reach, but now it is becoming a reality step by step."

"It is my dream to play for Villarreal for a long time," Pau Navarro reiterated. "I also want the club to do well, which is equally important to me. I also want to win the championship, which would be a very beautiful thing."
