Seleri officially parted ways with Gaimin Gladiators

Gaimin Gladiators, a top Western European Dota 2 team, officially announced on Friday that captain and fifth-position support Seleri has officially left the team.

Seleri played for Gaimin Gladiators for three years, during which time Seleri led the team to win three Major championships and won the runner-up result at The International for two consecutive years. In fact, Seleri was already listed as inactive by the team a month ago.

In mid-February this year, during the FISSURE Universe: Episode 4 Western European Qualifiers, Gaimin Gladiators suddenly announced that Seleri would temporarily bid farewell to the Dota 2 arena. At the time, it was stated that it was Seleri's own personal request, and Gaimin Gladiators also agreed to the request and gave him some time to rest.

Now, Seleri has decided to part ways with Gaimin Gladiators. Gaimin Gladiators posted a farewell video about Seleri on social media. Seleri said in the video: "I joined Gaimin Gladiators in 2022. We started with Team Tickles and won the regional finals together. It was undoubtedly an exciting start."

“I knew we had it when we won the Lima Major, but it was still incredible to actually achieve it. When we won five tournaments in a row, including the last three DPC Majors, it was truly an incredible achievement.”

"I am also proud of the fact that we have come through a difficult period and won the 2024 Riyadh Masters. In addition, I want to thank my teammates for believing in me and being willing to fight alongside me for so long. Together we have achieved a lot."

“I also want to give a special thanks to Ace and tOfu, who were willing to adjust their positions when we first started playing together so that Anton and I could continue to play core and five together. It was a bold decision, and without their sacrifice, we wouldn’t have this unforgettable journey and great memories.”

"As for my future plans, I still love Dota so much, so I will definitely be back. I hope you all will still know me as the vegetarian who loves playing Chen and Enchantress. Thank you to everyone who has supported me, I am very grateful and look forward to seeing you all again."
