Almada scored a world-class goal, Argentina beat Uruguay 1-0 and took a 6-point lead

On March 22 , the 13th round of the World Cup South American qualifiers kicked off at the Century Stadium in Montevideo, with Argentina away to Uruguay. After 90 minutes of fierce battle , Almada's long-range shot became the only goal of the game, helping Argentina to beat Uruguay 1-0 and continue to lead the South American standings with a 6-point advantage, while Uruguay ranked fourth.

At the beginning of the game, both sides fought fiercely, and Argentina took the lead in launching an offensive. In the 18th minute , Paredes advanced from the midfield and chose to shoot from a distance, but unfortunately the ball went wide of the goal. In the 26th minute , Paredes made an accurate diagonal pass, and Enzo shot from the left side of the penalty area, but the angle was too straight and was firmly caught by Uruguay goalkeeper Rochette.
