Joao Pedro sprained his ankle in training and underwent an MRI

Joao Pedro, who currently plays for Brighton, has had a scan after twisting his ankle in training. Manager Fabian Hurzeler has confirmed that the player will miss the FA Cup match against Norwich City.

Fabian Huerzeler said: "I would love to have Joao Pedro for the FA Cup, but he twisted his ankle in training, so we have to wait for the results of the MRI. If we have any clear results, we will let you know. But until then, I think the only thing we can do is wait for the results of the test."

"Players' injuries are part of the team. You will never hear me complain about players' injuries. Because my job is to find solutions to the problems faced by players. Although we have a lot of players facing injuries, I believe in the existing players in the team."

Fabian Schürzeler also said: "We are a very strong team with a strong squad and we have many options. I have full confidence and trust in the players who will replace the currently injured players, which is why I will never complain, this is part of my job."

"Besides, this is also part of the journey and it is unlikely to be smooth sailing. So what we need to do is to find solutions instead of complaining about the problems we encounter."
